Meet Shelbie

Hey friends! I believe in the magic of friendship. I believe everyone deserves a friend and I love being friends with people, whether that is for an afternoon or a lifetime or any time between. I am an Enneagram 4. My deepest desire is to find out who I am and do that to the best of my ability. I love deep, meaningful talks. My weakness is that I hold onto old hurts and I hold some bitterness due to that. However, I have developed a habit to use that old hurt to make sure others don’t feel the same hurt I had to!

I am also an INFP personality. After a long day of deep conversations with a friend (or a birth), I like to get alone and process through a creative outlet. I had a rigid routine that allows no flexibility. I hate confrontation, and I value what people think of me. I want to be everything to everyone, even though that is an unrealistic expectation I hold for myself. I’m not afraid to point out my flaws and be real. I want people to know the real me because that is the only way to develop true friendship and I believe we need that sort of relationship to trust each other in the most vulnerable season of your life (labor and delivery!)

I love baking and my daughter is sugar-free so I have had to go on a journey of baking with sugar alternatives. It’s been a lot of fun!

I love hiking. Being outside in nature is the best way for me to decompress after an over-stimulating day or week. I got married barefoot because I wanted to feel the ground and have that level of awareness when I married the man of my dreams!

I own a pitbull/boxer mix named Zeppelin and a chihuahua/corgi mix named Stevie. My husband is a big music guy and is the animal namer of the family. We live with our best friends/our daughters’ godmother and her husband who have a golden retriever named Noel. We adopted two cottontail rabbits who were orphaned and bottle fed them and nursed them back to health and they are now a part of our family. We are all working towards becoming first generation farmers, so this is just the beginning! We also own 10 chickens. We hate our rooster, but he does his protector job, so we allow him to stay.

All this to say, we live a crazy, beautiful life and I am so excited to share my life with you as we go on this journey together to bring your child into the world!
